In a word, no. In fact, it pays not at all, at least
not in any form of convertible currency. Historically, the SpyScribe's
only recompense has been the reactions garnered from readers. *
* (This is not to say that SpyScribes are against getting paid
for their work as a matter of principle. It's just the way things
have worked out. If you'd like to send money...)
However, thanks to the wondrous invention of e-mail, you can share your
reactions with the SpyScribes. All feedback should be sent to HQ
at their designation @spyscribes.freehosting.net (any general messages
regarding the site should be sent to HQ@...).
There was considerable debate concerning the move to cyber-space, and
this was tied not only to the fact that the work would be read with no
guarantee of any response whatsoever, but also because after handing someone
a piece of paper to read, one can always take it right back.
Hence, the SpyScribe archiving and distribution policy. Please,
ask first. We are already archived, and SpyScribe HQ requests and
encourages free distribution of our address, but not the files themselves.
Our fiction is all we have, we like to know where it is.
In the same vein: the creative work appearing on this site certainly
cannot be reprinted for profit by anyone other than the author. All
rights remain the sole property of the author, excepting any characters/scenarios/etc..
under license or copyright which are the property of their respective owner(s)
and are not used for profit. This advisory applies in addition to
any and all individual disclaimers attached to an individual story, report,
etc., where applicable.
